EAI Siebel Adapter query using homogenous IO Asset Management – Complex returns non-root products. (Doc ID 1953693.1)

Last updated on MARCH 01, 2018

Applies to:

Siebel CRM - Version 8.1.1.11 [23030] and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The requirement is to list all the root products under the Billing Account's Service Account and the associated child products. The customer executed the Query method on the EAI Siebel Adapter using the IO Asset Management - Complex and the search specification [Header.Billing Account Id]='" + [&accoundID] + "'.

The output should only include the following root products (and any associated child products):

AssetId, ProductName
1-32IX9, VMAX Base Package
1-32JJF, Car with Device Promotion – Monthly

VMAX Base Package is a parent product that’s associated to child products.

The output includes the 2 root products:

<AssetMgmt-Asset-Header>
<Id>1-32IX9</Id>
<accountID>1-32DML</accountID>
<RootAssetId>1-32IX9</RootAssetId>

<AssetMgmt-Asset-Header>
<Id>1-32JJF</Id>
<accountID>1-32DML</accountID>
<RootAssetId>1-32JJF</RootAssetId>

However, it also includes a number of other instances of the parent IC AssetMgmt-Asset-Header. For example:

<AssetMgmt-Asset-Header>
<Id>1-32IXE</Id>
<accountID>1-32DML</accountID>
<RootAssetId>1-32IX9</RootAssetId>

<AssetMgmt-Asset-Header>
<Id>1-32IXJ</Id>
<accountID>1-32DML</accountID>
<RootAssetId>1-32IX9</RootAssetId>

<AssetMgmt-Asset-Header>
<Id>1-32IY8</Id>
<accountID>1-32DML</accountID>
<RootAssetId>1-32IX9</RootAssetId>

The first 2 are child products of VMAX Base Package, but the third isn’t.

The question is how can the required output be returned using EAI Siebel Adapter Query?
