Symptoms

SIEBEL VERSION:
---------------
Siebel 8.1.1.10 [23021]

ISSUE STATEMENT:
----------------

Customer is using Siebel application on AIX 64 bit platform.

As such, they also installed and configured the EDQ Siebel Connector software on the same AIX 64 bit platform.

Customer followed the EDQ Siebel Connector documentation for the setup.

When the Siebel application tried to send the request to EDQ for cleansing/matching, by default it uses 'local' mode since the dnd.parms file did not have the "remote: true" parameter. In this case, the request failed with the following error:

ObjMgrLog Error 1 0000000354650140:0 2014-11-13 16:47:59 (dqcnctr.cpp (594)) SBL-APS-00118: Data Quality vendor-specific error: An error occurred when calling function 'sdq_set_global_parameter ()' in connector '': "(-1004) Factory exception." Detailed error message: Factory check threw an exception: net (No such file or directory)
