CRM Desktop - How To Display Activity Record As Editable In Outlook

Information in this document applies to any platform.
When activity is synched from Siebel to CRM Desktop, the record is push as read-only in case owner of the activity record is different from the logged in outlook user.
Our business requirement is to show these records as editable in outlook, so that any user can modify any activity. Please let me know how we can achieve this.
