Siebel Process Crashes And Exits on Linux platform When Maxproc is Set Too Low - OS Error Code 11 (EAGAIN) Found on Strace (Doc ID 1962668.1)

This is applicable to any Siebel installation version running on Unix/Linux OS platform

Symptoms

Customer running single server deployment on Linux RedHat6.

OHS web server, AOM components and mainwin components were terminated, all referring to Operating system error 11 in some way.

OHS has been replaced with Apache Tomcat on IP 2017 and above.

The behavior is intermittent, and which process is terminated is random.

OS code 11 (EAGAIN) means: Resource temporarily unavailable

The following error messages could be observed:

a) Siebel Server: (schedule.cpp (480) err=1376294 sys=11) SBL-SMI-00038: Internal: Cannot create process for siebmtshw

b) OHS:  [OHS] [INCIDENT_ERROR:20] [OHS-9999] [core.c] [pid: 21121] [tid: 125913968] [user: root] [VirtualHost: main] (11)Resource temporarily unavailable:  apr_thread_create: unable to create worker thread

c) when attaching with strace to regss mainwin process: clone() system call retuns EAGAIN

d) AOM crashing in the dispatcher thread that is responsible to create new threads
