Close Button of Siebel Search Preview Results Gets Hidden (Doc ID 1982863.1)

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
In OpenUI when a search operation is executed, a Search Results Preview pop-up with 5 results is displayed. This pop-up displays at the top the 'Search' title and 'X' (close) icon. And at the bottom the 'Show all' button is displayed, which is used to display the search results.



When the results teasers are small, this pop-up is displayed completely in screen. Hence it's possible to close the pop-up ("X" icon).

But when results teasers have a lot of information, this pop-up can is higher; the 'X' (close) icon is hidden. It's necessary to scroll-down or re-size the pop-up in order to see again the 'X' icon.

 

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

It should not be necessary to scroll-down or re-size the pop-up in order to see the Title and 'X' icon.


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Access an OpenUI component that has Siebel Search enabled, i.e.: http://mywebserver/fins_enu
2. Open Search Center.
3. Select a search category that has a lot of info in results teasers, i.e.: Activities, and execute a search operation.
4. The Search Results Dialog pop-up with a height larger than Siebel window is shown.
5. It's necessary to scroll though desktop or re-size the pop-up in order to see the top of this pop-up.

BUSINESS IMPACT

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users have to scroll though desktop or re-size the pop-up in order to see again the Title and 'X' icon.
