CTI Toolbar EditControl Corrupts Dial String Entered on Edit Control when German Umlaut Characters Is Used. (Doc ID 1985329.1)

Symptoms

ISSUE STATEMENT

On Siebel 8.1.1.11.15 [IP2013] version,  If user enter a text with a telephone number and the telephone number has German umlauts [mutated vowel ä, ü, ö, ß] in the dial string of CTI Toolbar Edit Control box, Siebel do not send the string to the CTI Driver. It remove the German umlauts character such as ä and the next two characters causing an error when dialing this string.

Siebel should send the whole string to the CTI Driver, for example for regular no numeric character such as 111111ä2244 the whole string is send to the CTI Driver and usually the CTI Driver clean the no numeric characters and dial.

Also the behavior can be observer using Dialing Filters and macro $DialingRuleMethod calling a custom BS. We can see when German umlauts the input argument for the BS method loose the German umlauts character ä and the next two characters in the dial string.

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Enter in the CTI Toolbar edit box a number with a German umlauts character in the middle such as 111111ä2244
2. You will see in the CTI Toolbar Work Item list the number 11111144 that is not the correct number.
