Incorrect Behavior of Mailto List Column When Set As Read-Only In Popup Form Applet (Doc ID 2002188.1)

Symptoms

Field Read Only Field user property behavior is not consistent. While toggling between read only and editable based on a calculated field using Field Read Only Field user property, it is not working as expected in form popup applets.

Our scenario is the following:

We are making Email Address field as Editable or Read-Only based on a flag set.
If flag is set to "Y", email Address field will be populated with "no@emailaddress.com" value and becomes Read-Only. ---working fine
If flag is set to "N", email Address field will hold the same value "no@emailaddress.com" value but should be editable. --- not working
Once we do a refresh this is working fine making the field as editable.

The popup form applet involved is displayed when the user opens the "Contacts" shuttle applet in "My Service Requests" view and clicks the "New" button.

NOTE: The control HTML type for Email Address is "MailTo". If we change this Type to "Text" no issues.
