Application Hangs On Browser Script Alert In IE11 (Doc ID 2002842.1)

Symptoms

Browser script Confirm dialog box opens up but the cursor on the screen still shows processing image, user is unable to click on the OK or Cancel button on the confirm dialog and the only option left for the user is to click the "X" (close button on the dialog box) button and come back to the parent view. Due to this issue users are not able to run the functionalities behind "OK" or "Cancel" button.Application hangs on browser script alert in IE11

It is on IE11 with Enterprise Mode enabled and Siebel version 8.1.1.11 PS8.

Changes

When using the Siebel application on an IE 11 browser, it is defaulting to a Document Mode of 10, which means the application is running in compatible mode of IE10 version. For IE 11 this should be displayed as EDGE.
