Object Manager hangs with high CPU usage while refreshing State Model cache (Doc ID 2005017.1)

Symptoms

Customer is encountering a hanging object manager process that is consuming 13-14% of CPU,
the OM tasks appear as "running" while the end user had disconnected since long ago.
This issue is impacting other Solaris zones (virtual machines) on the same hardware.
It is likely the issue had started since the patchset 9 was applied few months back.

The following call stack was obtained after analysis on a forced core file generated with gcore.
There are multiple threads with the same call stack.
