Product Configurator Showing Compatibility Error When Done Clicked When Product Validation Rule Defined (Doc ID 2007144.1)

Symptoms

When a customizable product contains 2 products that have a compatibility rule setup and a product validation rule setup, if upon entering eConfigurator it correctly flags up a compatibility fail, when this is corrected and Done clicked to exit eConfigurator, the compatibility error is shown again. The same occurs if the Verify button is clicked. This is incorrect as the compatibility was corrected. This can be shown as follows:

Products:

Product C1
> Product P1
> Product P2

Product P1 Check Eligibility set to True
Product P2 Check Eligibility set to True

Setup compatibility Rule: Product P1 Requires Product P2.

For Product C1, in Product Validation Tab, add a Validation Service record as follows:

Business Service: VORD CPVE Simple Validation Expression Checker Service
Rule Type: Complex

Add a Product Validation Expression Rule:

Search Expression: [Eligibility Status]="N"
Message: CME NOE Port Oversubscribed

Create quote.
Add Product C1.
Customize Product C1.
Add Product P1.
Click Done.
Ignore messages that compatiblity compromised.
Customize Product C1 again.
Get message that compatibility compromised, do you want to Proceed.
Select Proceed.
Configurator UI opens.
Note that Product P2 has not been added.
Add Product P2.
Click Done.
Popup states that an error exists in the configuration.


This is incorrect.
