Dragging An activity Onto The Field Service Dispatch Board In IP2014 Open UI Is Erratic. (Doc ID 2015743.1)

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

In IP2014 for Open UI, it is difficult to tell where an item will end up when dragging it onto the FS Dispatch Board. It usually ends up on the wrong Employee and/or on the wrong time period.

Open UI, it's hard to drag and drop to schedule in exact time slot for exact
employee you want. Even though it is also hard to drag and drop for the
employee you want because the rectangular pointer is extending over 2 to 3
employees, but getting the exact time slot is harder than the employee.

For example, you want to schedule it on 10 am for a particular employee. You
need to put the pointer box covering the employee's line on Dispatch Board,
and  drag and drop to align the 1st vertical bar in the box with 10 am but
ends up being scheduled for 1 pm. No matter how you position the box you can not
get 10 am for today because it always being scheduled at a different time for
the employee.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

In IP2014 for Open UI, it should properly schedule the Employee on the correct time period.

Open UI, it's easy and straight forward to drag and drop to schedule in exact
time slot for the exact employee you want. It should be easy and clear for
pointer to sit inside and on the employee you want and getting the exact time
slot you want to schedule for the employee.

In HI mode, it is just a pointer, as a vertical bar, it is easy to drag and
drop for exact employee and exact time slot.

STEPS

1. Log into vanilla service_enu or callcenter_enu in Open UI.
User Preferences > Dispatch Board is vanilla.
2. Create a Service Schedule. For example, 7 am to 7 pm, Monday to Friday.

3. Create a Service Region.

4. Set up a few employees in the Service Region.

5. Create a new activity, Status = Unscheduled.
set Service Region, Work Time = 60 minutes.

6. Activate 2 workflow processes for Dispatch Board: Dispatch Board -
Generic, SAF Activity.

7. Relogin to application.

8. Go to Dispatch Board, set Service Region to the one in step 3. You will
see employees for the Dispatch Board. One activity in Unscheduled
Activities.

9. Drag and Drop the activity in step 8 to Dispatch Board. You want to
schedule it on 10 am for today for a particular employee. You need to put the
pointer box covering the employee's line on Dispatch Board, and drag and
drop to align the 1st vertical bar in the box with 10 am but ends up being
scheduled for 1 pm. No matter how you position the box you can not get 10 am
because it always being scheduled at a different time for the employee.
