Communications Inbound Receiver Crashes Multiple Times Right After Siebel Server Start up in Linux or CommOutboundMgr Crashes When Sending Emails With Blank Subject (Doc ID 2019718.1)

Symptoms

The behavior only occurs on Linux based Siebel Servers.

After upgrade to Siebel 8.1.1.14 or Siebel 15 the component "Communications Inbound Receiver" crashes multiple time right after the Siebel Server start up.

This crash occurs when using either Internet SMTP/IMAP Server or Internet SMTP/POP3 Server drivers and you enabled inbound eMail Response functionality.

 


The problem can also be observed in Communication Outbound Manager when it tries to send some specific emails such as email with a blank Subject field. In this case the CommOutboundMgr component crashes.
