Loading a Customizable Product Needs a Lot of Time When Running a Bulk Request (Doc ID 2021535.1)

Symptoms

Customer tested bulk ordering functionality with a very huge product definition of about 5100 elements (products, classes and attributes)

Current behavior

Bulk ordering needs to read the product definition in order to consolidate the defined actions. This will be done with business service (BS) "Cfg Object Broker", GetProdStruct. The call of this method needs a very long time, although the product should be in cache and should be loaded within seconds. Even running "Cfg Object Broker", GetProdStruct before Bulk Request is started, will not change behavior.

The behavior can also be reproduced under Administration - Business Service Simulator:

  1. Create a new record with BS "Cfg Object Broker, method = GetProdStruct
  2. Create following input parameters:
    1. RootId = <root id of the root product>
    2. Full = Y 
  3. Run the simulator once
  4. Time to finish the method is very long and does not become better with another run of simulator
