Open UI PDQ Creates Second Vertical Scroll Bar (Doc ID 2030296.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 07, 2019

Applies to:

Siebel CRM - Version [IP2014] and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Selecting a Predefined Query (PDQ) from drop-down list creates a second vertical scroll bar, extending the current window slightly (vertically).

Another symptom associated with this is an additional message at bottom-left of screen that states "Done" upon PDQ selection/action.

Steps to replicate the issue:

1. Within Siebel / Open UI, select Site Map
2. In Site Map, select Accounts > Accounts List
3. Go to the top-right of the application and from the drop-down menu, select any available PDQ (One of many examples used was "Customer Accounts" PDQ)
4. Once the Analog Clock disappears (animation of clock occurs when PDQ is loading), you should see the second vertical scroll bar and at the very bottom-left of the application window, you should see the "Done" message appear, indicating the PDQ search has concluded, or is done.

NOTE: With the "Done" message displayed at bottom, you can then hover the mouse pointer over other options and see a prompt for JavaScript show up in this area depending on the item hovered over.  This will replace the "Done" with Java information until user selects another action, at which point the message will disappear completely and second vertical scroll bar will disappear also.

It has also been noted that this behavior can occur when opening any file attachment.
