Symptoms

In Siebel 8.1.1.6 the customer had devised a custom process whereby in the UI, two existing promotions could be selected to be upgraded to another promotion. The process would then upgrade the first promotion to the upgrade promotion, then upgrade the second promotion to the upgrade promotion. The end result being that the two existing promotions are set to deleted, the upgrade promotion is set to Add, and the components are correctly added/deleted.

In testing this custom process worked correctly the first time. If however the resulting quote was cancelled and the upgrade done again, the resulting quote was incorrect.

If the user logs out of the application, then back in, deletes the quote and carries out the upgrade again, it worked correctly.
