Exported Data from Applet Export Functionality Does Not Export All Columns or Show Duplicate/Incorrect Column Title (Doc ID 2039460.1)

Last updated on MAY 13, 2022

Applies to:

Siebel CRM - Version 8.1.1.9 [23016] and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On :  8.1.1.9 version, Configuration - General

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
Excel exported file does not export all the columns in one scenario. And in another scenario, the column header is incorrectly displayed. It displays the same title twice for the list columns which point to the same field.

Reported behavior is seen on HI 8.1.1.9, but this can be seen in HI and Open UI in IP2015 PS 1 too.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. In Tools, add a new list column with the following properties in "Service Request List Applet":
Name: AA Root Cause
Field: SR Rootcause
Display Name - String Override: AA Root Cause
Available: Y
Show In List: N

2. Add the new list column in "Edit List" template of "Service Request List Applet".

3.Compile and test.
4. In HI, go to "Service Requests > Service Requests List".
5. As the new field is not shown by default, click "Menu > Column Displayed" of the applet, add this "AA Root Cause" field.
6. Click "Menu > Export" of the applet.
7. Select the following:

Rows to export : All Rows In Current Query
Columns to export : All
Output Format : Tab Delimiter Text File

Results: The export data in the Excel does not contain "AA Root Cause" column at all. It shows the out-of-the-box list column "Root Cause". Notice that there is an existing "Root Cause" list column pointing to the same field "SR Rootcause".

8. Re-do the Excel Export with the these the options now:
Rows to export : All Rows In Current Query
Columns to export : Visible Columns
Output Format : Tab Delimiter Text File

Results: When I do this, the exported Excel file shows "AA Root Cause".

9. Inactive "Root Cause" list column in "Service Request List Applet".
10. Compile and the test the export again.

Results: The exported Excel file shows "AA Root Cause" in either "Visible Columns" or "All" in "Columns to export" in export options window.

11. Add a new list column with the following properties:
Name: AA Root Cause 2
Field: SR Rootcause
Display Name - String Override: AA Root Cause 2
Available: Y
Show In List: N

12. Compile.
13. In HI, go to "Service Requests > Service Requests List".
14. Click "Menu > Export" of the applet.
15. Select the following:

Rows to export : All Rows In Current Query
Columns to export : All
Output Format : Tab Delimiter Text File

Results: The export data in the Excel shows two "AA Root Cause 2" header columns, instead of 1 "AA Root Cause" and 1 "AA Root Cause 2".
