Inline Attribute update & invocation of setattribute method of product script result in syntax error

Steps to Reproduce:
Create a root product Inline_POC with two relationships with child products Inline_POC_Child1 and Inline_POC_Child2 respectively

Both the products have an attribute each. Inline_POC_Child1 attribute is set to be mandatory

Inline_POC_Child1 product is associated with a control to display inline attribute “Check Box with Price Multi Level JS”
Inline_POC_Child2 is associated with a check box control

Add a product script on attribute changed event of Inline_POC_Child1 such that if the attribute of this product is updated then attribute of Inline_POC_Child2 should be updated with the same value

Case: Check the product Inline_POC_Child1 and change the attribute value of its attribute

Expected Behavior: Value should get changed and mandatory asterisks should be removed automatically. Also there should not be any error on console

Actual Behavior: Value get changed on UI but mandatory asterisk is not removed and below error is seen in the console at this exact point. Also on the click of Done button attribute still shows required.

SyntaxError: expected expression, got '.' cfgrenderer.js:1:0

Issue does not occur if there is no product script as mentioned above
