The quote web service overwrites the quote in the Siebel DB with the information in the request payload. For ex, Quote in the Siebel DB has product A and QuoteWebService - Synchronize Request Message adds product B. The expected behavior for Synchronize response message is to have two line items - one line item for product A with action of "delete" and another line item for product B with action of "add". Similarly, if the quote in the DB has "product A" and the synchronize request message adds "product A". The response for Synchronize web service should return two line items for “product A” - one line item for "product A" with action "add" and another line item for "product A" with action "delete".
Actual behavior: In the above example, the QuoteWebService - Synchronize operation returns two line items for “Product A” but it does not denote which line item is added or deleted.
Expected behavior: QuoteWebService - Synchronize operation should contain an identifier to denote which quote line item is added or deleted.
Steps to reproduce:
- Trigger QuoteAddItems WS to add “product A” as a quote line item for a specific quote. Set the SyncQuoteItem parameter to True.
- The response message contains one quote line item for “product A”
- Trigger QuoteAddItems WS with the same request message as Step 1
- The response message contains two quote line items for “product A” without any identifier to denote which quote line item is added or deleted
