Scope of Issue:
The following information applies ONLY to the following situations with Siebel 15 (IP2015):
- First time installations or complete re-installations of Siebel Tools and/or Siebel Mobile Web Client on a specific machine
- Upgrades to Siebel 15 from IP 2014 (126.96.36.199) or earlier
Application of a new Siebel 15 patchset on top of an existing Siebel 2015 Tools or Mobile Web Client installation are NOT impacted!
After installing Siebel 15 Siebel Tools or Siebel Mobile Web Client (part of Siebel Remote functionality), attempts to access the local database fail. The specific resulting behaviors vary on whether you are attempting to use Siebel Tools or Siebel Mobile Web Client.
In Siebel Tools, the user will see an error similar to the following:
