Siebel Tools New "External Table" Wizard problems
While creating an EBC using the Siebel Tools Wizard, user encountered two problems with Siebel Tools:

1. Using the 'External Table Schema Import' wizard fails to create the correct "ALIAS" names for 'columns' returned in a View
2. Using the wizard, the newly created object does not appear in the 'Check in' dialog

The External Table Schema Import Wizard should work properly

1. Steps for 1st issue:

1.1 Create a new VIEW in an Oracle Database schema
1.2 In Tools go to File > New Object > External Table Schema Import
1.3 Select a Project and select the 'Analytics / DDL' source
1.4 Enter a 3 character code
1.5 Select 'Oracle Server Enterprise Edition'
1.6 Locate the DDL used to create the view in step 1.1
1.7 Look at the Table object definition created
1.8 Alias names are truncated / duplicated. For example, the column BC_BASE_TBL is truncated to T_TBL. It is necessary, then, to go through and fix all the Alias names

2. Steps for 2nd issue:

2.1 Complete all the steps above
2.2 Go to Tools > Check In...
2.3 Note that the new Table object is not listed
