Symptoms

On : 8.1.1.11 [IP2013] version, Installation

Siebel IP2013 hosted on a Windows 2008 server .


ERROR
-----------------------
ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. When trying to connect to odbc via sadmin and its password , it throws an error saying invalid password .
2. Even when running siebel import or export repository ,it throws the above error .
3. But same works via SQLPLUS and SQL Developer, and for other users connecting via ODBC to the same database is working fine .


BUSINESS IMPACT

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot connect to database using sadmin.
