Screen reader user issue – when navigating through the ‘Client Contact History’ table, the screen reader enters ‘Forms mode’ when it gets to the ‘Activity Id’ and ‘Interaction’ cells.
Screen readers go into ‘forms mode’ when they enter a section coded as a form element. This disables some of the screen reader shortcuts to enable data to be entered into a form field without triggering screen reader navigation shortcuts. When it enters Forms Mode, it makes an audible pop sound to notify the user.
When the screen reader gets to the two fields highlighted, it enters forms mode and the content of the cells is not read to the user.
Sequence of Events Leading to the Error: Using the down arrow key to navigate through the Client Contact History table..
Expected Result: The contents of the cell should be read to screen reader users.
Actual Result: The contents of the cells are not read to screen reader users.
