When there is a Siebel Chat session running the Siebel user or the other party can enter some unusual sequence of character that cause the chat transcript to not show the correct text. Also the other party can enter malicious chat message that can interfere the Siebel Application.
Siebel should consider all text enter as chat message with regular characters and not interpret is as htm code and show the text exactly the same way it was enter either from the Siebel user or the other party.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to Siebel Application with a chat user.
2. Exchange some chat messages to verify everything is working fine.
3. Siebel User types 987654321.0 /*-+ &é"'(§è!çà)-^$ùµ,;:=<> |@#´`~\ À Á Â Æ Ç È É Ê Ë Ì Í Î Ï Ñ Ò Ó Ô Œ Ù Ú Û Ü Ý Ÿ
4. The Siebel Chat Panel show the following in the chat transcript window:
