Set Primary On MVG Not Working Via Web Service Call (Doc ID 2106115.1)

When using a web service to create child records against at account through the use of a web service the new record created is not updating the primary id field on the account. This means the field is blank on an applet. Can you tell me how to set the new record to be the primary?
