Performance Tuning Best Practices And Recommendations For Siebel EAI Interfaces (Doc ID 2107536.1)

Goal

The below are a list of Best Practices and Recommendations for tuning the Siebel application and EAI layer for optimal EAI interface performance, throughput and stability.

Please note the following:

All of the items listed below have been identified and implemented in many past incidents to resolve random, intermittent, performance, throughput and instability behaviors. Thus, it is strongly recommended to seriously cooperate with implementing each item listed below where it is indicated as:

a. "Mandatory" for the Siebel application and EAI Object Manager component, these must be done to ensure the Siebel application layer, OS/DB layer and the EAI Object Manager type components are tuned properly,

b. and, those that are indicated as "Additional" which are relevant to the functionality being used where problems are encountered, to ensure specific functionality is configured/tuned properly for their usages.

c.  Some of these are applicable to all Siebel versions 8.1 and above; while some are only applicable to Siebel 17.0 and above.  Please check each listed item and its applicable version.
