Information in this document applies to any platform.

OSES is set to crawl CRM application and customer setup FTP indexing. For security reasons the file transfer between the CRM-FTP server-OSES cannot be in clear text format. It could be the attachments, or the indexing files etc.

Is there way to setup SFTP for the indexing or processing the attachments? As security is a matter of concern w.r.t customer data.
What is the best way to setup SFTP or other secure way of transferring files for crawling and indexing data for OSES?

Additional questions:
1. Can CRM generate xml(feed files) files to a SMB file system?
2. Can OSES ingest files from a SMB file system?
3. What secure protocols are supported by Oracle for the file ingestion in OSES apart from "https"?
