How to Edit The Error Text For Emails Failed Due To Size Limitation at SMTP Server (Doc ID 2116197.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 22, 2019

Applies to:

Siebel CRM - Version [IP2013] and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Customer is sending email through scripting, they are using Sendmessage method for sending emails.

The email server they are using has a limit of 10 MB and doesn't allow email larger than 10 MB.

When the email is send from Siebel with a size greater than 10MB, user gets the following error in UI:

PrcExec PropSet 00167ca055ff0050 4 : 0 24.2.2016 9:53:20 Place the property ' Namespace : ' USER ' Name ' Error Message ' Data Type ' String '' run- term value :
PrcExec PropSet 00167ca055ff0050 4 : 0 02/24/2016 9:53:20 error when calling the service SIR Forms Adapter method SendForm stage SendForm ( SBL - BPR - 00162 ) .

1. Is it possible to change the text of the error message in the UI to some meaningful content for e.g. Email is failed as size is greater than 10MB etc.

2. Is it possible to estimate the size of the resulting email before sending.

Is there any way to achieve any one of the following requirement?
