CRM Desktop Client installation failed "struct configuration::mapi_settings::values_set_already_exists" (Doc ID 2120893.1)

Symptoms

When installing CRM Desktop Client Package, it failed with the following error message below:

"Inconsistent data for CRM Desktop
Click here if you would like to remove the rest of the data and re-install the data structure. Synchronize if you would like to download data from the server”

Steps to reproduce the issue:
1. Install CRM Desktop plugin.
2. Configure and login into CRM Desktop.
3. During the first sync to pull the package the following error message above was captured in the CRM log.
