Configuring Session Timeout Expiry Notification

Information in this document applies to any platform.
Customer is looking to implement Timeout / Session Expiry Notification in Siebel. This notification is expected to come and notify Siebel User before the session expires and inform user to activate the session.
Following two documents / Bugs insinuate that requirement cannot be met at present.
1. 14263417: There is no Alert message before session timeout to warn user of automatic logout
2. 14585446: When generating a Siebel report, no notification message indicates completion of download
1. Is there any workaround to implement this feature?
2. Is this issue planned to be addressed in any future version (IP or Patch set)?
