Pop Up Applet Not Opening In Open UI But Working Fine In HI (Doc ID 2129124.1)

Symptoms

Configured a Pop Up Applet to be triggered by a symbolic URL to display a OBI Dashboard Report on click of a Button. The Pop Up Applet is getting displayed properly in HI and is working fine but the same doesn't work for the Open UI.

Error Applet: OS Manage Modification Pop Up Applet does not have the Edit List Template file specified (SBL-UIF-00266) was observed.

Followed How To Configure Displaying an External Web Application from the Siebel Application Using Symbolic URL (Doc ID 475305.1) the Pop Up Applet is opening fine in both HI and Open UI but for a business requirement there is script in the Applet Pre Invoke Method and Pre Can Invoke Method and it is then when the issue is faced that the Pop Up Applet doesn't open for Open UI but works fine for HI.
