Record(Accounts/contact) searched and navigated from Find(Search)is not added in Home page recent records.
1.) Observe the Recent records in Home page(Account)
2.) Now Click on Find and search for an Account.
3.) When you get the searched record navigate to found record from searched results.
4.) Check Recent Records on Account Home page and this record is not added in the list.
