A scenario was brought on the attention of Support whereby a customer was using the ENU application from which they administrate First Day Of The Week setting for all other language applications, like FRA or DEU.
This included the steps:
1. Go to Administration - Data > Locale, Select Local Code - "ENU";
2. In "Locale Parameter" Detailed View;
3. Set "First day of week" - Monday;
Bounce the server.
5. Navigate to Opportunity List;
6. Create New and click on Date Pick applet "Close date" or any other datetime field.
Result:Date picker applet has Monday as first day of week.
Under ENU application where the administration is made, the values for first day of the week were in English, by default, for all other Locale (e.g. DEU, FRA etc.).
Ideally, setting the first day of the week should be effective if the administrator makes the changes in ENU app for other application languages too, and the first day of the week setting gets reflected for the end users logging in either FRA, or DEU.
These end users should see the specific first day of the week name in French for FRA application, German for DEU application etc.
