The user installed PS12 on Siebel IP2015 and updated DISA to version 2.0.12, where they are unable to open an attachment in IE while using HTTPS.
They followed FAQ #8 from Doc ID 2107511.1 to integrate a self-signed certificate to the DISA JRE folder. After this, they were able to open attachments in Chrome and Firefox, but it fails in IE 11.
They have set logLevel = 8 in the config.properties file for DISA, but the log file is empty. It appears that the request does not reach DISA from IE.
Accessing the Developer Tools in Internet Explorer and viewing the console output, the following error is shown:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Open Internet Explorer 11.
- Log in to Siebel Open UI.
- Go to Contacts Screen.
- Go to the Attachments applet.
- Open any file.
- Receive error message in console for IE.
