Symptoms

Siebel Anywhere - on version: 15.9 [IP2015]

When attempting to select the SRF file to distribute to Remote Clients,
the following error occurs.

ERROR
-----------------------
Could not open repository file '\\siebelprod1.corp.company.com\Kits\siebel_sia.srf'.
File does not exist or may be in use by another process.(SBL-DAT-00142)


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1) Navigate to Administration - Siebel Anywhere > Upgrade Kits.
2) Click on the Auto Create button.
3) Select 'Siebel Client Repository File__ENU' from the Upgrade Component drop-down list.
4) Click Next.
5) Select Standard Repository File and click Next.
6) When Upgrade Kit Wizard asks for the Delta Repository created by the 'diffsrf' utility, enter the UNC Path for SRF file:
  \\siebelprod1.corp.company.com\Kits\siebel_sia.srf
7) After selecting the path, and clicking 'Next' the following error occurs:


  Could not open repository file '\\siebelprod1.corp.company.com\Kits\siebel_sia.srf'.
  File does not exist or may be in use by another process.(SBL-DAT-00142)



BUSINESS IMPACT

The issue has the following business impact:
Unless the issue is rectified, the new Siebel SRF file would not be distributed to Remote users.
