ISSUE STATEMENT:

When Siebel application picks up messages from IBM MQSeries and tries to process it through a Siebel workflow process, the workflow process fails the convert the data, it generates an error mesasge.

ERROR MESSAGE:

The error message that occurs with this issue is:

Error: Error invoking service 'XML Hierarchy Converter', method 'XMLDocToXMLHier' at step 'Business Service 0'.(SBL-BPR-00162)

Fatal Error in XML Parser at line 1, column 1: An exception occurred! Type:UTFDataFormatException, Message:invalid byte 1 (?) of a 1-byte sequence.(SBL-EAI-00247)

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
---------------------------------
The behaviour occurs as follows:

1. Response messages from ERP has JMS properties along with the pay load. These messages are put onto the IBM MQSeries queue.

2. Siebel MQSeries Server Receiver component task runs and poll the Queue, pulls the messages from the MQ.

3. Inside the MQSeries Server Receiver component task, a workflow process executes and tries to convert the data. The error message occurs at this data conversion step.

LOSS OF FUNCTIONALITY / BUSINESS IMPACT:

The issue is a road block for the Siebel to ERP integration, the integration rollout is planned for 9/1/2016, so it will impact the roll out deadline.
