EIM Table Mapping Wizard can't generate correct mapping against EIM_CURCY. (Doc ID 2175846.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 06, 2019

Applies to:

Siebel Tools - Version 8.1.1.8 [23012] and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 8.1.1.8 [23012] version, EIM Table Mapping Wizard

Desired behavior
-----------------------
Customer created an extension table (CX_S_CURCY_X) based on S_CURCY table.

When EIM Table Mapping Wizard is launched to create mapping between this table and EIM_CURCY table, it should be processed correctly so that EIM Export/Import can take care of the newly added extension table CX_S_CURCY_X.

Actual behavior
---------------
When EIM Table Mapping Wizard is launched to create mapping between CX_S_CURCY_X table and EIM_CURCY table, PAR_ROW_ID of CX_S_CURCY_X does not appear on the Foreign Key Mapping.

Therefore EIM never attempts to process the newly added extension table CX_S_CURCY_X.

REPRO_STEPS
-----------
1) Using Tools client, lock EIM_CURCY and S_CURCY.
2) Create extension table CX_S_CURCY_X based on S_CURCY.
3) Apply it to create CX_S_CURCY_X table on database.
4) Launch EIM table Mapping Wizard on CX_S_CURCY_X and choose EIM_CURCY as the interface table.
5) Apply EIM_CURCY to add new columns.
6) Delete diccache.dat.
7) Run EIM Export against EIM_CURCY.

Generated EIM log shows it never attempted to export records from CX_S_CURCY_X. Below is the excerpt of EIM log file.

EIMTrace EIMTraceSubEvent 3 00009fa757be0e48:0 2016-08-24 17:17:23 > Step 2: exporting target only S_CURCY 0s
EIMTrace EIMTraceSubEvent 3 00009fa757be0e48:0 2016-08-24 17:17:23 > Step 3: denormalizing attributes S_CURCY 0s

Business Impact
-----------------------
CX_S_CURCY_X table cannot be processed by EIM.
