Upgrade Production Mode error "Cannot find the object "name" because it does not exist or you do not have permissions" (Doc ID 2176294.1)

Symptoms

On a Upgrade from 8.1.1.5 to 15.4 version, when attempting to perform Upgrade in Production mode the following error occurs in the log syncidx2.log

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:
1. Upgraded Dev environment. Copied schema.ddl and custrep.dat from upgraded dev environment.

2. started Upgrade in Production mode. Fails

 

SQL Server 2008 is being used, non-unicode code page.
