Siebel Marketing: Issue While Removing One Occurence Of Recurring Activity

With the creation of some denormalized columns in S_ACT_EMP and CX_ACT_BU table Marketing functionality of scheduling repeating activities has been impacted.
When a Campaign in Siebel Marketing is scheduled it is failing with the Error.

'UpdateActivity' at step 'Update Schedule Activity'.(SBL-BPR-00162)
An error has occurred writing to a record.
Please continue or ask your systems administrator to check your application
configuration if the problem persists.(SBL-DBC-00111)
1) On Business component [Action] create a custom field [Test Activity Status] mapped to EVT_STAT_CD (no further properties are needed)
2) Compile the changes
3) Create a new recurring activity (e.g. daily for two weeks or so, does not really matter)
4) Remove one occurrence, this will generate the SQL error
