Activity Alarm functionality not working in OpenUI [IP2015]

Symptoms

On : 15.10 [IP2015] version, System Admin

Alarm pop up is not coming up in OpenUI however the same behavior is working fine in HI.
We have verified the System preference value and also the CAL_MEETING_INVITATION_STATUS List of values.
the following error occurs.

WHAT IS THE DESIRED BEHAVIOR?

That the Alarms would populate for the Activities or other places that they
are used in the application.

WHAT IS THE ACTUAL OR UNEXPECTED BEHAVIOR?
==========================================
When setting up an appointment and you select to enable a alarm it does not
pop the alarm for the appointment. It was also tested for Leads and other
sections of the application and it does not pop for those either.

 

STEPS

===========
1. Create activity in the Activities view
2. Open appointment and navigate to More Info tab and select the Alarm radio
button and select it to populate 5 minutes prior to meeting
3. Log out of application
4. Log back into application and wait for time of appointment to pass

Note that Alarm does not populate
