Siebel Advanced Search - Unable to revert value in Data Source field (Doc ID 2194790.1)

Symptoms



ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------

After changing Data Source from “Call Center Definition” to “Bus. Comp”, the search category no longer appears in the list applet and it is not possible to revert the changes back to OOTB.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Should be possible to revert the changes back to OOTB in Administration – Search Index Settings view

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Log into Siebel application
2. Navigate to Administration – Search Index Settings view
3. Select any search search category
4. In the Data Source field, change the standard search definition value (e.g: “Call Center Definition”) to “Bus.Comp”.
5. Save the record
6. Try reverting the changing back to the standard search definition.
7. Verify that it is not possible to select any standard Siebel search definition value like “Call Center Definition”, “Sales Definition”…etc.
