Unable To Connect To ODBC Datasource As User Xxxx SBL-CDM-00191 When Tryng To Create Target List (Doc ID 2196653.1)

Symptoms

On : IP15 version, Client Functionality

When trying to create target list using OBIEE 11.1.1.9 and Siebel CRM 15.5 both installed on same Windows machine


ERROR

Unable to connect to ODBC datasource as user xxxx SBL-CDM-00191


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

- Enable BI Target List" as described in Siebel Life Sciences Guide

- MUST use High Interactivity
- MUST use IE 8 32 bit
- biadmin user must exist in OBI, in Siebel, Siebel DB and can login using ODBC

Steps:

1) Logon to a machine with IE8

2) Run Pharma: http://xxxxxxxxx/epharma_enu
UserName: biadmin
Password: xxxxxx

3) go to Answers screen

4) Create an Analysis > Subject Area can be any but choose "Activities"

5) On the left frame, select "Contacts" and double click in "First Name"

6) Add a filter by placing the cursor in the icon at the right side of "First Name" column > choose "Filter" > Operator "begins with" > Value = A > OK

7) Click in "Results" tab

8) Click in the 7th icon at the top for "New View" > Other Views > Create Target List

9) A link "Create Target List" link is added at the bottom just below the data results.

10) Click in the "Create Target List" link and enter any List Name > OK

Error:

Unable to connect to ODBC datasource "coreapplication_OH594158318" as user "BIADMIN."(SBL-CDM-00191)
