Client Freeze With Pop-Up And Java Applet In Symbolic URL

Information in this document applies to any platform.
If a view has a symbolic URL to display an external web page and the web page has Java applet, the following steps cause IE11 hang-up for around one minute with cpu 100%.
(1) Login to Siebel Open UI client with IE11.
(2) Go to the view to display the external web page with Java applet.
(3) Open any application menu/toolbar pop-up such as 'About Record'.
(4) While the pop-up is displayed, click any part of the Java applet.
(5) IE11 hangs up with CPU 100% for around a minute.
