Information in this document applies to any platform.

A view has a parent list applet and a child detail form applet on the same business component.  The View's List Applet and the Form Applet both have the No Merge property set to TRUE.

Merge Record functionality is used in a list applet, where the user selects two records in the list applet where the first selected record is to be merged into the second selected record.

Since the top or parent list applet has No Merge = TRUE, the Merge Records application menu item is inactive.

If the user happens to click on the child form applet, then the Merge Records application menu item is active and if the user executes the Merge Record, the Merge Record happens without the expected prompt to confirm the Merge should be executed.
