Last updated on OCTOBER 30, 2019

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Siebel Mobile Specific - on version: 15.9 [IP2015]

Siebel Mobile App - Invalid Host Server Address

After obtaining the Siebel.MAA file (version 2.0.12) that is supported for IP15 PS9, that .MAA file was customized and prepared as an APK file to be deployed on Mobile device(s).
The mobileapplist.lst file was also deployed in both Siebel Web Server Extension as well as IIS wwwroot folder.

But once that application was installed on mobile, when trying to connect to the server, error is shown:

"Invalid Host Server Address"

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Install Siebel Mobile application (custom .APK in this case obtained from .MAA file);
2. Prepare Siebel Mobile server environment (mobileapplist.lst, enable Mobile components required etc);
3. Start Siebel Mobile application and try to connect to server.

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, Mobile users cannot use that custom Siebel Mobile application to connect to server.

The Siebel Mobile application was rebuild and re-deployed.

Testing on a device where standard Android Siebel Mobile  2.0.12 (obtained from Play Store some time ago) was installed same connection attempt was working fine.
