Activity Insert Step in Siebel Operation for Workflow Fails (SBL-DAT-00225) (Doc ID 2233989.1)

On : [23012] version, Siebel Workflow

When attempting to insert a new Activity through workflow, the following error occurs:

The Activity should be created using Siebel Operation step (Insert Operation) in the workflow with Field values below as Input Arguments:

Asset Id: 1-JH17 (Example)
Asset Number S_ASSET : 1-17689 (There will be two Asset records with the same Asset Number)
Description: Testing
Status: Closed

The Activity record is not created: the error message displays.



1. Launch Application
2. Go to Asset screen and create two Assets with same Asset Number:

Asset Row Id Asset Number
1-JH17 1-17689
1-Jk25 1-17689

3. Login to Siebel Tools
4. Create new Workflow with below steps based on Account BO:
Start > Siebel Operation > End

5. Provide the below values to Siebel Operation step:

Operation: Insert
Business component: Action
Input Arguments:

Asset Id: 1-JH17
Asset Number S_ASSET : 1-17689
Description: Testing
Status: Closed

6. Provide Account Row Id in Object Id Process property of the workflow.
7. Simulate the workflow.
8. Check the error message in watch window.
