Decision box with 2 branches in a workflow is not executing as per the provided conditions

Decision box with 2 branches in a workflow should execute as per the provided conditions

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Create a workflow.
- Create a START Step, END Step, STEP 1, STEP 2, STEP 3 and a Decision box.
- Create a flow from Start > Decision Box with 2 branches (DEFAULT and DECISION)
- Connect the DECISION branch to STEP 2 and the default branch to STEP 1
- Connect STEP 2 to STEP 3.
- Connect STEP 3 to END.
- Now copy the DECISION branch. You now have a DECISION.COPY not connected to any step
- Check the BD.
- Now connect the destination of DECISION.COPY branch to STEP 3
- Run the workflow with an input that matches the decision branch.
