WHAT IS THE DESIRED BEHAVIOR?
Select other names for the account. This field allows you to refer to accounts (and their sites) in the way that you prefer. For example, an account named A/B Products, Inc., might have the following synonyms: AB, A/B,and AB Products. When you search for an account or enter an account in another part of Siebel Communications, you can use a synonym instead of the actual name.
WHAT IS THE ACTUAL OR UNEXPECTED BEHAVIOR?
Not able to search with the Synonym value in Pick List Field Note: As per the book shelf, Synonym Specifies the field that contains synonyms for the business component. If this property includes a value, then any bounded pick list that the business component contains searches these synonyms. (Siebel Object Types Reference Siebel Innovation Pack 2015 page 123).
1)Login to Siebel Communications Application
2)Go to Accounts Screen
3)Go to Accounts Administration
4)Select Account (Example: FACEBOOK)
5)Go to form applet and expand form applet to see more fields
6)On 'Synonym' field, click on MVG and create new record in MVG Applet.In New
record, give Synonym name as 'FB'
7)Pick the record from MVG
8)Save Account record
9)Go to Opportunities screen
10)Create new Opportunity.
11)Give Opportunity Name as 'Test' and in 'Account' Field, click on Pick
12)In Account Pick Applet, search for 'FB'.
Note: As per bookshelf, if we search with Synonym name in Account Name Field,
then it should return the Account Name which is not happening
Note: Here, instead of clicking Account Pick List, If we enter value as 'FB'
in Account Field, then 'FACEBOOK' value is populating.
