Siebel Inbound Email For A Single Active Directory (AD) User

Information in this document applies to any platform.
Customer wants to only allow a single Active Directory (AD) user to have full access to all inbound mailboxes integrated in Siebel as opposed to the current situation where each and every integrated mailbox has its own AD user.
Can you please let me know if this "single mailbox owner" will work or not ? Will all incoming emails from all mailboxes be downloaded at once every 2 mns during scanning process ?
