Every two or three weeks some Siebel CTI users are not able to use the Siebel CTI Toolbar. The Siebel CTI Toolbar stop responding or does not get enabled. When it happens the only way to recover is to restart the Siebel Server running the Communications Session Manager component.
The CommSessionMgr component does not show any task Running for several seconds and increasing, so the behavior is different from usual CommSessionMgr hangs/freeze described in Doc ID 1263269.1. It seems that the Siebel Object Manager synchronous server request to CommSessionMgr component is not reaching the component on the remote Siebel Server.
The behavior could not be reproduce in lower environment.
It has also been observed multiple crashes of the Siebel Object Manager component daily with up to 10 Object Manager crashes on the same day with following callstack that indicates a crash on user logout:
