Account Hierarchy View Hangs for Accounts Having a Large Number of Child Accounts

The Account Hierarchy View does not display for Accounts having a large number of child Accounts.
Internet Explorer 11 experiences a long delay (hang) before displaying the chart.
When users want to access the Account Hierarchy View ( 'Com Account Hierarchy Analysis View' ) for a complex account, the view hangs.
The Account Hierarchy should display in a timely manner for all browsers.
1. Launch the application using IE 11.
2. Go to Accounts > Accounts List.
3. Drill down on an Account having many (> 100) child Accounts.
4. Go to Account Hierarchy > Account Org Hierarchy.
5. Go to Account Org Hierarchy Chart.
Result: The chart takes several minutes to display.
